CHARLES BOYER (artist)
Charles Boyer was an artist from the 1950s to the 2020s. He accepted a "temporary" job at Disneyland as a portrait sketch artist in 1960 and remained there for 39 years! "Boyer had the unique distinction of having been Disneyland's first full-time artist and eventually was elevated to become Disneyland's master illustrator. In his work he captured the unique and fanciful spirit of Disney characters and theme park environments" (this information comes directly from a statement issued by the Disney Company after Boyer's passing in 2021, at the age of 86). Boyer was made a Disney Legend in 2005, the equivalent of membership in the company's Hall of Fame, with a window on Main Street in his name.
