BILLIE RITCHIE

Billy Ritchie was an actor from 1914 to 1920. He did not make his first movie until 1914 (the same year that Charlie Chaplin started), but he performed in music halls in England in a tramp suit prior to that, and though he spent much of his career as a "Charlie Chaplin imitator", he always claimed that Chaplin had stolen the idea from his earlier performances! He passed away in 1921 at the age of 42.
