DOROTHY DONEGAN

Dorothy Donegan was a black African American jazz pianist and vocalist from the 1930s to the 1990s. She was primarily known for performing in the stride piano and boogie-woogie style. She also played bebop, swing jazz, and classical music, and she appeared as herself in the movie, Sensations of 1945. She passed away in 1998 at the age of 76.
