Bjorn Wiinblad was a Danish printer, designer, and artist from the 1930s to the 2000s. He worked with ceramics, silver, bronze, textiles, and graphics. Wiinblad illustrated the work of his fellow Dane, Hans Christian Andersen, when he took on the task of providing the artwork for "The Swineherd," which won an award from the American Library Association. Wiinblad's "swineherd" illustrations were turned into a short animated film in 1986. He passed away in 2006 at the age of 87.
