HAM FISHER

Ham Fisher was a comic strip writer and cartoonist from the 1920s to the 1950s. He is best known for his creation Joe Palooka, which later was turned into a series of movies. He also had a feud with fellow cartoonist Al Capp over the creation of Li'l Abner. Fisher passed away in 1955 at the age of 55.
