DAPHNE POLLARD
Daphne Pollard was born in 1891 in Australia, and never grew to more than 5 feet tall, and as a child, she was part of the "Pollard Lilliputian Opera Company". Her family moved to Los Angeles in 1907 and she was in vaudeville for a year, and then appeared on Broadway. When sound movies began, she moved to Hollywood and she signed with Mack Sennett, but then switched to Hal Roach, where she appeared in a number of his movies including ones with Laurel and Hardy. She only made a few movies after 1936, and was mostly on Broadway. She passed away in 1978 at the age of 86.
