EMILIO FERNANDEZ
Emilio Fernandez was a Mexican director, screenwriter and actor from the 1920s to the 1980s. Fernandez was part of the Mexican Golden Age of Acting that developed in the 1940s after Mexico gained control of its own oil industry. Some of his movies include: Flying Down to Rio, Maria Elena, The Wild Bunch, and Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid. Note that Fernandez is also the model for the Oscar statuette! He passed away in 1986 at the age of 82.
