OSA JOHNSON

Osa Johnson was an Africa explorer, documentary film maker and producer from the 1910s to 1940. She explored and made films together with Martin E. Johnson, her husband, and they were jointly billed as "Osa & Martin Johnson". Martin was killed in a plane crash in 1937, and Osa Johnson was able to release their final film, "I Married Adventure", three years later. Some of their other movies include: Among the Cannibal Isles of the South Pacific, and Wonders of the Congo. She passed away in 1953 at the age of 58.
