JOHN SAYLES

John Sayles is a screenwriter, actor, and director from the 1970s to the present. He has worked in "mainstream" movies (including low budget horror ones), but his heart was in writing and directing "arthouse" movies. Some of his movies include: The Return of the Secaucus Seven, The Brother From Another Planet, Piranha, Eight Men Out (about the Chicago White Sox throwing the World Series and becoming the "Black Sox"), Baby, It's You, and Sunshine State
