RONNIE SPECTOR
Ronnie Spector is a black African American/Cherokee rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) singer from 1959 to the present. Initially part of the Ronettes with her family, she went on to have a successful solo career. Some of her songs include: Be My Baby, Try Some, Buy Some, and Take Me Home Tonight with Eddie Money. She was discovered by, and married to Phil Spector, legendary record producer who died in 2021 while serving a long prison term for multiple violent crimes, including murder. Ronnie eventually escaped what she described as horrific abuse while married to him, divorcing Phil in 1974. Ronnie later remarried and as of 2021, she is still alive at the age of 77!
