DENVER PYLE

Denver Pyle was a character actor from the 1940s to the 1990s. Some of his movies include: The Man from Colorado, The Flying Saucer, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, Bonnie and Clyde, and Maverick. He is likely best remembered as Briscoe Darling (the patriarch of the hillbilly family) in TV's "The Andy Griffith Show", and as Uncle Jesse on TV's "The Dukes of Hazzard". He passed away in 1997 at the age of 77.
