JOHN QUALEN

John Qualen was a Canadian-born character actor from the 1930s to the 1970s. He never became a star, but he made 139 movies over a 40 year period, and whenever there was a need for a Swedish character, he surely got the first call! Some of his movies include: The Grapes of Wrath (as Muley), The Farmer Takes a Wife, Casablanca (as Berger), Anatomy of a Murder (as Deputy Sheriff Sulo), and The Sons of Katie Elder. He passed away in 1987 at the age of 87.
