Count Basie was a black African American jazz pianist, organist, bandleader and composer from the 1930s to the 1980s. Some of his songs include: Shiny Stockings, April in Paris, Flight of the Foo Birds, and Jive at Five. He passed away in 1984 at the age of 79.
