JAMES PICHETTE
James Pichette was a French artist from the 1940s to the 1990s. He started his career painting in a figurative manner, then he had a cubist period (like the majority of young painters of his generation), before moving on to abstract works, tinted with surrealism. Later, from the 1960s onward, his painting become gestural and circular forms were introduced into his compositions. His brother was the well-known poet Henri Pichette. James passed away in 1966 at the age of 46.
