HELMUT SCHREIBER
Helmut Schreiber (also known by his stage name "Kalanag") was a German magician from the 1920s to the 1960s. He chose his stage name from the East Indian word kala nag (from Kipling's Jungle Tales) meaning "black snake", thinking that outside of Germany people might find Schreiber hard to pronounce. During World War II, Schreiber was closely associated with members of the Nazi party including Goebbels, Goring and Hitler. He passed away in 1963 at the age of 59.
