TENEN HOLTZ
Tenen Holtz was a Russian Jewish actor born Alexander Elihu Tenenholtz. He was in Yiddish theater starting at the turn of the century, and in 1916, he helped Bessie Thomashevsky write her memoirs, and in 1925, he co-founded a theater company with Celia and Stella Adler. The following year, he signed a 5-year MGM contract, and from then until 1939, he appeared in 57 movies. He is an important figure among Jewish stage and movie actors! He passed away in 1971 at the age of 84.
