EVA PERON
Maria Eva Duarte de Peron (known popularly as Evita) was the second wife of Argentinean president Juan Peron and served as the First Lady of Argentina from 1946 to 1952. Shortly before she passed away in 1952 from cervical cancer at the age of 33, she was given the title of "Spiritual Leader of the Nation" by the Argentine Congress, and was given a state funeral when she died, a prerogative generally reserved for heads of state. There have been multiple films and a popular musical based on her life.
