JOHNNIE RAY

Johnnie Ray was a singer, songwriter and pianist from the 1950s to the 1980s. He's been considered one of the major precursors to rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) music! Some of his hits include: Just Walking in the Rain, Broken Hearted, Let's Walk That Way, and Song of the Dreamer. He had a major role in 1954's "There's No Business Like Show Business", but that did not lead to further movies. He was a gay homosexual male at a time when you could not be, and he had an arrest in 1961 that caused him to be dropped from his record label, and he made no more records, and the rest of his life was filled with many ups and downs. He passed away in 1990 at the age of 63.
