EDWARD PEIL JR.

Edward Peil Jr. was an actor from the 1910s to the 1940s. He was the star of a dozen shorts made in 1920 and 1921 that were all based on Booth Tarkington's "Adventures and Emotions of Edgar Pomeroy" short stories about a juvenile man named Edgar, who has many adventures, and he and his teenage friends travel to exotic locales (where they encounter adults), and even reenact Shakespeare's Hamlet in one of the shorts! We don't know what became of Mr. Peil after he made the Edgar movies, because it is difficult to find any information about him, but we know that he lived until 1962, when he passed away at the age of 54. If anyone knows more about him, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
