Peter Weir is an Australian director and writer from the 1960s to the present. Some of his movies include: The Way Back, Master & Commander (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), and The Truman Show (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film). As of 2021, Weir is still alive at the age of 76!
