JEAN RENOIR
Jean Renoir was a legendary French writer/director from the 1920s to the 1990s. He made two of the greatest movies of all time, Grand Illusion and The Rules of the Game. Some of his other movies include: The Southerner (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) and The Diary of a Chambermaid. He is the son of the legendary French impressionist artist, Pierre August Renoir. Jean Renoir passed away in 1979 at the age of 84.
