LAURA LA PLANTE

Laura La Plante was an actress from the 1910s to the 1950s. She started in silent comedy shorts and became a leading lady in the mid 1920s, and was one of the few silent actresses who successfully made a transition to sound, starring in the 1929 version of Show Boat. Some of her other movies include: The Cat and the Canary, The Love Trap, and The Last Warning. She passed away in 1996 at the age of 91.
