YOGI BEAR (character)

Yogi Bear is an animated cartoon character (a brown bear) created in 1958 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera (Hanna Barbera). He lives in the fictional Jellystone Park, and his personality and mannerisms were based on Art Carney's Ed Norton character on The Honeymooners. Yogi's name was similar to that of baseball star Yogi Berra, who sued for defamation (but later withdrew his suit). The character has appeared in a number of cartoons, comic books and films.
