FRED WARING
Fred Waring was a popular musician, bandleader and radio-television personality from the 1920s to the 1980s. In 1983, Waring was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal, the nation's highest honor for a civilian. Some of his works include: Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, Button Up Your Overcoat, and White Christmas. He passed away in 1984 at the age of 84.
