PERCY MARMONT
Percy Marmont was a debonair English actor from the 1910s to the 1960s. He started on stage in England in 1900 at the age of 17, but he achieved fame when he went on a stage tour of South Africa and Australia in 1917. He then went to the U.S., where he began appearing on the stage and making movies. A street in Hollywood was named after him (Marmont Lane), and a giant hotel was built on it called the "Chateau Marmont", one of the legendary Hollywood hotels! He left Hollywood in 1928 to return to England, where he made many movies and also performed on the stage there. He passed away in 1977 at the age of 93 and his wife lived for 8 years more, passing away at 100. Some of his movies include: The Vengeance of Durand, Aloma of the South Seas, Secret Agent, and Footsteps in the Fog
