ALEX KARRAS
Alex Karras was pro football player who became an actor from the 1960s to the 1990s. He was a star defensive tackle in college, placing second in the Heisman Trophy Award balloting his senior year. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions and played for them from 1958 to 1971 (he was suspended for one season for gambling on football games). Some of his movies include: Blazing Saddles, Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang, Porky's (as Sheriff Wallace), and Street Corner Kids. He met actress Susan Clark when she was making the movie "Babe" in 1975 (when he was married with five children), and they married in 1980, and had a child and remained married until he passed away in 2012 at the age of 77.
