RON MOODY
Ron Moody was an English actor from the 1950s to the 2010s. He originated the part of Fagin in the stage version of "Oliver!", and the producers of the movie version wanted to cast Peter Sellers, due to his great star power, but fortunately, Carol Reed insisted on allowing Moody to reprise his stage role (he was nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award and since the movie, he has performed as the character on stage many times). Some of his other movies include: The Twelve Chairs, Follow A Star, Murder Most Foul, Flight of the Doves, and Lost Dogs. He was selected to become the third Doctor Who in the BBC TV series, but he turned it down, and he described it as "the worst decision I made in my entire life"! Moody passed away in 2015 at the age of 91.
