KATY JURADO
Katy Jurado was a Mexican actress from the 1940s to the 2000s. She played the lead in lots of conventional movies in her native Mexico, but in Hollywood productions, she was typecast and forced to play Mexican parts. She is surely best remembered for her part as "Helen Ramirez" in the classic High Noon, and she also had parts in One-Eyed Jacks and Broken Lance (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film). She passed away in 2002 at the age of 78.
