LINDA WATKINS
Linda Watkins was an actress from the 1930s to the 1970s. Before 1931, she had appeared on Broadway, and Hollywood was searching for stage actors for their sound movies, and she seemed a natural. She appeared in six movies between 1931 and 1933 (and she had the lead female role starting with her very first movie!), but her stage success did not translate well to the screen, and she had married in 1932 and began having children, and she retired from making movies in 1933 (and she returned to the Broadway stage, and she was a voice-over regular on the popular 1930s radio series "Gangbusters"). After her three children had grown in the late 1950s, she returned to the screen, mostly appearing on TV as a character actress! Watkins passed away in 1976 at the age of 68.
