LLOYD FRENCH

Lloyd French was a director from the 1920s to the 1940s. He was the director or the assistant director on many of the best Laurel & Hardy silent and sound comedies. He left MGM to direct Vitaphone shorts (including some with Shemp Howard). He also wrote many of the Three Stooges shorts! He passed away in 1950 at the age of 50.
