PAUL WINFIELD

Paul Winfield was a black African American actor from the 1960s to the 1990s. He was a fine actor who never achieved major stardom, perhaps affected by his being gay at a time when it was difficult for homosexual actors to have mainstream success. Some of his roles include: The Terminator, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Sounder (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), and Trouble Man. He passed away in 2004 at the age of 64.
