CHIPS RAFFERTY
Chips Rafferty was an iconic Australian actor from the late 1930s to the 1970s. He has been called "the living symbol of the typical Australian" and appeared in many Australian film productions as well as English and American productions. He passed away in 1971 at the age of 62. Rafferty was posthumously made a Member of the Order of British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to the performing arts. Some of his movies include: The Desert Rats, Smiley Gets a Gun, The Wackiest Ship in the Army and Wake in Fright (his final film role)
