HABIB BENGLIA
Habib Benglia was a black French Algerian actor from the 1920s to the 1960s. Like Paul Robeson in America, he was multi-talented and he starred in "The Emperor Jones" on stage in 1922, but the roles he was offered in movies were limited, so he mostly instead stayed with the stage, dancing, and other arts. However, he did have small parts in La Grande Illusion and Les Enfants du Paradis, two of the greatest French movies ever made! Benglia passed away in 1960 at the age of 65.
