Raymond Griffith was an actor from the 1910s to the 1930s. He was born into an acting family, and he was a baby and child actor on the stage, playing the lead at the age of 7 in "Little Lord Fauntleroy". He got sick and lost most of his voice as a young boy, but fortunately, that was not so bad in silent movies! He started in movies in 1915, working for Mack Sennett, doing some acting and also writing gags. He alternated between acting and screenwriting for many years. The coming of sound ended his career, due to his severe speaking limitations, though he made a notable cameo in "All Quiet on the Western Front" in 1930. He continued to work in movies behind the scenes, and passed away in 1957 at the age of 62.
