ARCHIE SAVAGE
Archie Savage was a black African American dancer/actor from the 1940s to the 1960s. He was primarily in Broadway shows, but he appeared in some movies as well, including: Boccaccio '70, South Pacific, and La Dolce Vita. He had "The Archie Savage Trio" in 1944, appearing in "Jammin' the Blues", and he also helped create what is now known as the "Afro-Cuban Dance Forum". Savage passed away in 2003 at the age of 88.
