MIRIAM COOPER
Miriam Cooper, she was a major star in the middle 1910s, with an important role in "The Birth of a Nation" and other movies for D.W. Griffith; she married director Raoul Walsh, which lessened her interest in making movies, but she continued, mostly appearing in Walsh's films; she was unable to have children, but she and Walsh adopted two of them; in 1925, she divorced Walsh because of his constant cheating and completely retired from movies to raise her children, and she lived another 50 years, never making another movie appearance!
