FARON YOUNG

Faron Young was a country western singer, who crossed over somewhat to rock 'n' roll (rock and roll), writing "Is It So Strong" for Elvis in 1957; he appeared in a handful of movies, and was nicknamed "The Singing Sheriff". He passed away in 1996 at the age of 64.
