Jean Porter was an actress from the 1930s to the 1950s. She was born in Texas in 1922 and moved to Hollywood in 1939, and her young age and youthful appearance led her to be cast as a teenager in a number of movies, mostly B-movies. In 1946, she made "Till the End of Time", which was directed by Edward Dmytryk, who was 14 years her senior, but they had a romance, and two years later, they married and had three children. However, not long after they were married, Dmytryk became one of the "Hollywood Ten", as a former communist, and he was unable to work in Hollywood, and he moved to England. However, he returned to the U.S. in 1951 and was put in jail for six months. But afterwards, he returned to directing. Jean Porter remained loyal to him throughout this major ordeal, and they remained married until 1999, when he passed away at the age of 90. She passed away in 2018 at the age of 95.
