DOOLEY WILSON

Arthur 'Dooley' Wilson was a black African American actor and singer from the 1920s to the 1950s. He will forever be remembered for his role as "Sam", the piano-player who sings "As Time Goes By" in the classic film Casablanca (though Wilson didn't actually know how to play piano!). Some of his other movies include: My Favorite Blonde, Stormy Weather, and Passage West. He passed away in 1953 at the age of 67.
