TOD BROWNING
Tod Browning is a director from the 1910s to the 1930s, best remembered as the director of "Dracula" and "Freaks"! Browning came from a good family, but fell in love with a circus dancer as a teenager, and he worked in the circus in order to be with her, and later he met D.W. Griffith, which led to acting jobs. He then became a director, having his first success with the silent version of "The Unholy Three", and he remained in the horror genre; he retired in 1939, but lived until 1962, passing away at the age of 82. No doubt, someone will eventually make a movie about his life, likely with Johnny Depp in the title role!
