PAUL GALLICO

Paul Gallico was a legendary writer from the 1930s to 1976. He was originally a sports writer, and it was not until 1938 that he began writing fiction of any kind. He wrote dozens of books, many movie screenplays, and many TV screenplays! He wrote the screenplay for "Pride of the Yankees". He had a great success late in life when he wrote the story that was adapted into the movie "The Poseidon Adventure". Gallico passed away in 1976 at the age of 78.
