RICHARD FLEISCHER
Richard Fleischer was a director from the 1940s to the 1980s. He was the son of animator Max Fleischer, and one of his first notable creations was the very unusual 1947 documentary, Design for Death, written by cartoonist Dr. Seuss, and it won the Best Documentary Academy Award! Some of his movies include: Soylent Green, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Vikings, and Fantastic Voyage. He passed away in 2006 at the age of 89.
