ROBERT ALLEN

Robert Allen (also known as Bob Allen) was an actor from the 1920s to the 1980s. He was a very minor actor who was "discovered" in the 1935 romantic melodrama, "Party Wire". Columbia Pictures was so impressed by him that they gave him a lead in a romantic movie, even before Party Wire was released. But he soon shifted to B-westerns, starring in many of them for Columbia in 1936 and 1937, after which he pretty much quit acting and spent the rest of his career on the stage! Allen passed away in 1998 at the age of 92.
