O.P. HEGGIE
O.P. Heggie (Oliver Peters Heggie) was an Australian stage and screen actor from the 1900s to 1936. He will always be remembered as the blind man who befriends the monster in Bride of Frankenstein, and as Abbe Faria, the next door cellmate to Robert Donat in The Count of Monte Cristo. Some of his other movies include: The Actress, The Return of Dr. Fu Manchu, and The Prisoner of Shark Island. He passed away in 1936 at the age of 58.
