JESS WILLARD

Jess Willard was a cowboy and heavyweight boxer, earning the title of Heavyweight Boxing Champion of the World in 1915 after knocking out Jack Johnson. He went on to lose the championship after 4 years to Jack Dempsey in 1919, which was considered one of the heaviest beatings in a championship bout. He also briefly acted in movies, appearing in The Heart Punch, and The Challenge of Chance. Willard had a 26-6-1 record, with 2 no contests, and 20 wins by knockout! He passed away in 1968 at the age of 86.
