DON DEFORE
Don DeFore (born Donald John DeFore) was an actor from the 1930s to the 1980s. He appeared in many television shows including The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet and Hazel (as Mr. B). Some of his movies include: We Go Fast (billed as "Don DeForest" for this single movie), The Male Animal, Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo, It Happened on Fifth Avenue, and Romance on the High Seas. There is a cool piece of trivia about Mr. DeFore. He was the only individual allowed to open a restaurant at Disneyland. He operated the Silver Banjo in Frontierland from 1957 to 1961. His brother Verne DeFore helped him, and they used a gift that their father, a railroad engineer, had brought home from Louisiana, a beautiful silver banjo, as the tiny restaurant's inspiration. DeFore passed away in 1993 at the age of 80.
