KIM STANLEY
Kim Stanley was a stage actress in the 1950s to the 1980s, who appeared in a small number of movies. She much preferred the stage. She originated the role of Cherie in "Bus Stop", and she wanted to make the movie of it, but that role went to Marilyn Monroe (and two years later, Stanley played the lead in "The Goddess", which was obviously based on Monroe). Her movies have been few but they have been very memorable. Some of them include: Seance On A Wet Afternoon (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Frances (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), and The Right Stuff. She passed away in 2001 at the age of 76.
