HARRIET HILLIARD
Harriet Nelson (also known as Harriet Hilliard and Harriet Hilliard Nelson) was a movie and television actress and singer from the 1930s to the 1980s. Some of her movies include: The Falcon Strikes Back, Follow the Fleet, and Take It Big, however, she is best remembered for her role on the long running TV sitcom "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" alongside her real life husband Ozzie Nelson. Note that Harriet was hired by Ozzie to be the vocalist for his orchestra in 1932. They married three years later, and appeared in some movies together, but they were billed separately, and she was still billed as "Harriet Hilliard". They both continued working after the births of their two sons, David and Ricky, but in 1944, they started a radio show, "The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet", and in 1952, it moved to television, and continued until 1966 (and during that time, son Ricky became a rock 'n' roll legend, first performing songs on their show!). Harriet passed away in 1994 at the age of 85.
