ROUBEN MAMOULIAN
Rouben Mamoulian was a Russian director from the 1920s to the 1960s. Some of his movies include: Queen Christina, Becky Sharp, Golden Boy, The Mark of Zorro, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (the 1931 version). His masterpiece was Love Me Tonight, a musical with Jeanette MacDonald and Maurice Chevalier, which was like the best Ernst Lubitsch movies, but with great music added! He passed away in 1987 at the age of 90.
