ZANE GREY
Zane Grey (born Pearl Zane Grey in 1872) was an American author best known for his popular adventure novels and stories associated with the Western genre. However, before he ever wrote a single story, he was a full time professional dentist and very successful amateur baseball player! Fortunately for the world, he took up writing as a hobby, which led to massive professional success. In addition to the commercial success of his printed works, his books have had second lives and continuing influence when adapted as films and television productions. His novels and short stories have been adapted into well over 100 films, TV series and made-for-TV movies. Some of his works include: Riders of the Purple Sage, Nevada, and Knights of the Range. He passed away in 1939 at the age of 67.
